SPECIAL OVERHEAD TRAVELLING CRANES OF METALLURGICAL APPLICATIONS

  Cranes intend for servicing the iron and steel shops constitute a group of metallurgical cranes, i.e. casting, charging-box, soaking-pit, forging, claw and magnetic cranes, etc.

  For any of the above crane types the bay width, lifting height, No. of trolleys, operating modes and controls will be chosen to meet the Customer's requirements.
  Any other cranes of special applications may be designed and made at your discretion.

Slab transfer device

  The slab transfer device is designed to take slabs from the double-strand continuous caster runout table, convey them to the piling area (slab piler) and back. During the working cycle (150 seconds), the device grips a slab from one of the continuous caster strands, transfer and pile it up in the piling area and then returns to the next strand. Over the same period of time slabs are transferred from the piler to the continuous caster roller tables to charge the same onto the roller table car. The slab transfer device is operated from the outboard control desk.
