Car retarder

  The car retarder is designed to set up speeds of the cuts of cars at gravity humps. It may be also employed instead of the other retarder types used in the CIS at gravity humps in any braking position.

  A top quality of the conversed construction, application of high-alloyed steel grades and chrome-plated pneumatic cylinder work surface ensure reliable and long-term service of this retarder.

Retarder versions
  NK 114 Car retarders are made of 8 versions which differ in number and construction of individual components.
  A 5-link Car retarder is arranged on a wooden sleeper base of 900mm high from the lower bar to the rail head. This is a basic retarder version. NK 114-01 to NK 114-07 versions are made on the base of the NK 114 retarder and differ in number and construction of individual components.
  NK 114, NK 114-01, NK 114-02 and NK 114-03 retarders meet the requirements for the isolated rail circuits provided in the gravity hump control system.
  For the gravity humps, which do not require isolated rail circuits within the retarder control system, NK 114-04, NK 114-05, NK 114-06 and NK 114-07 are recommended.
  Versions with a distance of 900 mm between the bar bottom and the rail head are recommended for use at the newly-arranged humps and also for replacement of the formely applied and worn out retarders of the types KNP-5-73, ÂÇÏÃ and 50 with the appropriate number of links being provided.
  NK 114-03 and NK 114-07 versions are intended to substitute the worn out KB-3 retarders at the available gravity humps.
  NK 114-02 and NK 114-06 retarders are recommended for the use at parking brake stations or for replacement of the type PM 3-2 retarders.
