STATIONARY HOT-METAL MIXERS

  These are designed to hold and prepare the large amounts of hot metal delivered from the blast furnaces, feed hot metal for making steel as to equilize its temperature and average its chemistry.

  A few designs were adopted in such mixers which enable them to surpass the available equipment of this king due to:
  • Provision of the backward motion arresters;
  • Possibility of locking the mixer body in a zero position during repairs;
  • Possibility of measuring the in-process parameter values.
