QUALITY ASSURANCE POLICY

"Novokramatorsky Mashinostroitelny Zavod" J-St.Co. is an independent
enterprise with the closed-loop production cycle among the machine-building
plants in Ukraine.
NKMZ J-St.Co. performs the development, designing, manufacture and erection
of the metallurgical, press and forging, ore and mining, coal mining, lifting
and conveying, milling and crushing, oil and gas producing, highway engineering,
nuclear power generating and tool-making machinery as well as production of
consumer goods.
The goal of NKMZ's activities is to produce and supply top-quality,
competitive and profit-making products which are in popular user's demand.
The key goal at NKMZ J-St.Co. is to become equal among the best producers
on the commercial market and to make the best in the best way.
Quality assurance is a strategic index of NKMZ's competitiveness.
To attain the objects in view and to realize the key aspects of the quality
assurance activities, the following is being carried out at NKMZ J-St.Co:
- raising the staff proficiency and participation of all the managers
at all levels, specialists and production workers in the works aimed
at bettering labour quality and efficiency by improving the existing
impulses to labour, providing a new system of such impulses, developing
and perfecting the available welfare components.
- continuous study of the users' requirements and answering their needs
in the products of the heavy, power and transport engineering industries
as well as following the trends of development in said industies.
- renovation and reconstruction of the plant facilities, adoption of the
advanced process technologies and methods of production management,
expansion and improvement of the servicing system.
- choosing the reliable suppliers of the raw materials and accessory
components and establishing the fruitful cooperation with the key
suppliers on a mutually beneficial base.
- improvement of the plant management based on reengineering of business
process being carried out now and by creating the process-oriented
enterprise with the flexible organization structure adoptable to the
varying business and production condition.
- persistent improvement of the quality management system based on
EN ISO 9001:2000 and production requirements.
Each worker is aware of his object, try to achieve it and is responsible for
every particular work or operation before the entire plant and himself.
Each manager is responsible for the quality of his particular work and its
upgrading. Each manager sets the tasks and obligations in quality control
and participates in a continuous process of updating NKMZ's scope of
activities.
Improvement of the product quality at NKMZ is the basis of successful
activities of the company in raising the amount of sales, reducing production
costs, increasing labour efficiency and advancing all aspects of its
development.
The quality assurance concept is being brought to the knowledge of all the
workers and serves as the basis for setting particular quality assurance
objectives for each division of the plant. It is being realized based on the
quality management system and supervised by the Director General, Chairman
of the Board of NKMZ J-St.Co.
NKMZ's J-St.Co. management officials assure the fulfilment of this program
and constant improvement of the quality management system in full conformity
with the EN ISO 9001:2000 requirements.
