Rolling mill machinery

  The production complex "Novokramatorsk machine-building works" is one of the world's major manufacturers of rolling-mill and metallurgical machinery for ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgical works.
  For 75 years of its existence Novokramatorsk machine-building works has produced more than 100 rolling mills for various applications including heavy-duty slabbing mills, wide-strip hot rolling mills, plate mills, blooming mills, continuous billet mills, billet medium section mills, wide-strip mills for cold rolling of ferrous metals, aluminium and its alloys, auxiliary equipment for finishing processing of plates and bars.
  Machinery with the trademark "NKMZ" is now in successful operation at the largest enterprises of CIS countries and abroad.
  The highest productivity has been achieved and advanced technologies have been applied at the wide-strip hot rolling mills of Novolipetsk, Cherepovets, Magnitogorsk and Krasnoyarsk integrated iron-and-steel works built in recent years. The products of these mills are highly competitive on the world market.
  All rolling mills of NKMZ are fitted with the process control systems.
  Hardware is home-made, but on the Customer's request the use of the foreign companies' hardware is also possible.
  Provided in the mill process control system are systems for electric, hydraulic and mechanical equipment control and technical diagnostics.
  Hot and cold rolls constitute a considerable volume among a wide range of products manufactured at Novokramatorsk machine-building works. A wide complex of research work is carried out at the plant to improve rolls quality and increase their durability.
  The rolls are made of high-quality heat-resistant alloyed steel produced by electroslag remelting. They are characterized by high surface hardness and strength required for resisting large deformations in rolling. Developed at the plant the advanced method of thermal treatment of the roll barrels by inductioin heating allows to provide the hardened layer with a depth up to 80 mm including the active layer of 45 mm depth.
  Our rolls having quality certificate of German Company "TÜV-Nord" successfully compete on the world market with West-European and Japanese rolls.
