"NKMZ" was officially commissioned in September, 1934.
Since then, 102 rolling mills, 189 hot-metal torpedo cars, 45 stamping hammers, 20 blast furnace charging cone and bowl facing plants, 142 presses of various applications and forces, 17 hot-metal transfer ladle slugging machines, 103 horizontal forging machines, 2002 draglines, over 2000 mine winders, about 3000 ore crushers and coal-pulverizing mills, 18 bucket-wheel excavating and mining complexes were designed and manufactured. Our enterprise is the largest supplier of the mill rolls, unique castings and forgings, etc.
Powerful production, research and experimental facilities, advanced technologies and experienced personnel enable the staff of the company to construct complete plants of high quality within the shortest possible time and to maintain their operating capacity over a long period of time. Since 1994 the quality system covering the whole production life cycle from marketing and market research to the products utilization and from research activities to service maintenance has been developed, introduced and certified In the company.
Since 1994 the quality management system has been developed, introduced and certificated at the enterprise. It covers the whole production life cycle: from marketing research to its recycling, from scientific investigations to after-sales service. The quality management system (QMS) guarantees manufacture of high-quality products. The enterprise QMS meets the requirements of International Standard EN ISO 9001:2008 that has been confirmed by the certificate in the system TUV International Certification (TIC), issued by the international certification body TUV Thuringen (Germany) and by the certificate of National Certification Authority Research and Development Center “STANKOSERT” (Ukraine).
Classification societies such as GL (Germany), DNV (Norway) issued the certificates to metallurgical production unit of the company for the production of forgings and castings for shipbuilding industry. The company obtained the certificates of conformity and licenses for specified types of products that are subject to compulsory certification. Achievement of the objectives in the field of the products quality is proved by the fact that "NKMZ" has been recognized as a world-class company.
This is testified by the repeated awards of "Platinum Marks - quality marks of the XXI-st century" for the products of the company as the best supplier of the Russian market, regional marks of distinction such as and for high progress in export, for quality and competitiveness of the products and services. NKMZ is laureate and winner of the Ukrainian national quality contests, holder of European certificate on the model of European Foundation for Quality Management.
